Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is now official with 5.5 inch display, Helio X10 SoC and MIUI 7
Xiaomi has launched the successor to its Redmi Note phone. The successor, named Redmi Note 2, comes with a 5.5 inch full HD LCD display and is powered by a Helio X10 processor from MediaTek.
The phone has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. While the processor is clocked at 2.0 GHz for Redmi Note 2, the Note 2 Prime comes with 32 GB of internal storage and its processor is clocked at 2.2 GHz.
On the camera front, the phone comes equipped with a 13 MP camera at rear and a 5 MP camera at front. It runs on MIUI 7 which is based on Android 5.1 and is powered by a 3,020 mAh battery. It supports Dual SIM, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The Redmi Note 2 Prime will retail for 999 Chinese Yuan ($160) while the 16GB version will be offered in two version: one with 4G connectivity on both SIM slots for 899 Chinese Yuan ($144), and the entry-level model with 4G connectivity on the first SIM and 3G on the secondary SIM for 799 Chinese Yuan ($128).
The phone measures 152mm x 76mm x 8.25mm, and weights 160 grams. It will be available in several colours, including white, black, pink, brown, and light blue.
