ZTE officially launches Nubia Z9 with bezelless display
ZTE has made its newest smartphone, the Nubia Z9 official in Beijing, China. It features a 1080p, 5.2-inch 2.5D panel, surrounded by a very thin reflective bezel, which creates the illusion of an edge-to-edge screen.
ZTE has developed a new touch-based interactive gesture system for the frame, called FIT and allows for different user gestures. Some of the functions include squeezing the phone twice to take a screenshot, adjusting brightness and activating the camera.
Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It comes in three variants based on memory – one with 3 GB RAM, another with 3 GB RAM and a 64 GB ROM.
As far as the camera is concerned, it has 16 MP main shooter with f/2.0 lens and optical image stabilization. The front facing camera uses an 8 MP Sony sensor with 80 degree lens.
Connectivity options on the device include Bluetooth 4.1, MHL 3.0 and NFC along with Wi-Fi and GPS. It runs on Nubia UI 3.0 and is powered by a 2900mAh battery.
Preorders of all models of the ZTE Nubia Z9 have already started in China. The pricing of the phone starts from CNY 3,499 (Rs. 34,990) to CNY 4,499 (Rs. 44,990).
